Self identification and self exploration, some of us are still searching for the true us or just sometime simply follow the influences around us. Conscious or unconsciously we are made by our perimeter surrounding,- friend, relative, parents, place we stay, neighborhood we live etc. This perimeter also created our character and the person we are now. This made us different from each other although we just the same human being.

About Nizam
Nizam Abdullah was born in 1981, completed his studies in Limkokwing University in 2004 and graduated from fine art diploma, majoring in sculpture. He have been exhibiting locally and internationally and has been working on metal sculptures and manipulating it to become an art piece from sculptures, wall sculptures to functional art as home deco and his sculptures landscapes designs.
He started „The Fighting Rooster‟ sculpture series that has become his signature work of art. The series represent a self-portrait of the artist himself. Self identification and self exploration has been his studies of interest.
Besides designing and bending the metal sculptures, he also paint and draw to produce other fine art work to satisfy his hunger to fine art. His work on series of distorted studies of himself in his previous solo exhibitions exhibit varies feelings and gesture in a year.
Now, he has came out with a new series to develop his appreciation for beauty and serene feelings by using the elements of flowers and bold colors to represent the drawing‟s aesthetics values.

Fighting Rooster
This is Nizam’s comeback after his last group exhibition of 2012, showcasing his new art work, series from ‘Fighting Rooster’. The title exhibits the sculptor self-portray and representation of himself beign born in the year of the metal rooster as according to the lunar calendar. As an artist his work are mainly in metal and the exploration of its finishing by manipulating metal in a form of art language. He also works in other form of medium in producing his artwork, he believes an artist needs to be versatile in creating art works and to explore all forms of media sources in different aspects. His signature Fighting Rooster he wanted to project signifies strong character, charismatic animal and projection of bravery. Its highlighting the majestic look of a rooster and the elegance movement of a fighter in the ring.
He started ‘The Fighting Rooster’ sculpture series since in his studies and during his art and artist exploration. The series represent of a self-portrait of the artist himself and self-identification and interest.
He had his solo exhibition titled ‘ThreeSixFive Me’,a\ at Annex Gallery that showcased the artist distortion visuals monthly. The study of oneself (himself) that he embraces through his depiction of distorted mind and feelings.
Throughout the years Nizam learn to improve his metal sculptures to a much better level. Now he is the founder of Nizamsculpture Studio, he envisioned to produce more sculpture for the public and to educate the people on approaching arts and sculpture. As an artist he want his sculpture to be seen and share it with others.
Graduated from Limkokwing University with a diploma in Visual Arts and majoring in sculpting. Since then he has been actively involved in the local art scene since 2004 , and also participated local and international art exhibition. He participated the IOTA Japan International 2011, Sculpture International Competition and was one of the top 20, his sculpture was featured in of the IOTA catalogue of winners in 2014.
